The Audi Q4 50 E-Tron Quattro is the perfect combination of sport and luxury
If you’re looking for an EV crossover as a daily driver, the Audi Q4 50 E-Tron Quattro has got you covered. Going from zero to 60 mph in about 5.8 seconds, this all-wheel-drive SUV will perform year round with its 295 hp and is the perfect choice for work commutes or a simple errand.
In terms of size, the Q4 successfully bridges the gap between the gas-powered Q3 and Q5 SUVs. It shares the same 82 kWh battery pack and MEB electric vehicle platform as the Volkswagen ID 4 as well. The engine features a rear permanently excited synchronous motor and a front asynchronous motor that outputs a max speed of 112 mph.
Audi restricts the Q4 E-Tron to a 125-kW maximum charge speed. The battery can increase from a 5% state of charge to 80% in about 38 minutes while using a DC fast charger. Not too shabby! Regenerative braking also allows the Q4 to recover some energy.
The Q4 lacks adaptive dampers, rear-axle steering, air suspension, and other advanced chassis technology. However, it’s still very well balanced. Many driver assisting features can be found including distance sensors which can help the car’s many blind spots, just like many other SUVs on the market.
Blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alerts are all standard driver aid features found on the Audi Q4 50 E-Tron Quattro. Unique features found solely on the Prestige Quattro trim include matrix LED headlights and an augmented reality head-up display.
Each Q4 comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen running the latest version of Audi’s MMI infotainment system, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Quattro trim also gets the Virtual Cockpit Plus arrangement with Google Earth maps, which is top tier when it comes to the industry’s best digital gauge displays.
Performing flawlessly, the 2023 Audi Q4 50 E-Tron Quattro delivers on its promise to provide luxury accommodations in a cost-effective package of $62,900. For more details, check out the Audi website here.
