Take your campsite on-the-go with the Collaborative Adventure Mobility Platform
Known as “CAMP”, the Alpha Motors Collaborative Adventure Mobility Platform is an innovative off-grid solution that the Irvine, California based EV startup recently revealed. This clever arrangement combines Alpha’s Rex off-roader with a teardrop trailer and comes with everything you need to enjoy the great outdoors.
In the photos below, you can see the Adventure Series variant of the Rex that’s been set up with tubular doors, a front wench, Black Rhino’s Fuji Wheels on beefy BF Goodrich tires, and KC Gravity Pro6 fog lamps. The rear has undergone the most significant change, with the removal of the rear cabin and the addition of triangular bed bars for reinforcement.
The Alpha Motors Collaborative Adventure Mobility Platform comes with a brand new and compact teardrop trailer that’s enabled to be converted to a seating space with plenty of storage. On its exterior, it comes equipped with a kitchenette bundled with all the necessities for a campground cook, as well as a rooftop pop-up tent that includes a telescoping ladder and a picnic table. Other amenities include a portable yurt with fabric walls that are modular, along with a California King bed.
According to Alpha Motors, the “CAMP” is not intended to serve as advertising but rather as a means of encouraging innovation by opening up new ways for travel. “Alpha’s advanced application of virtual validation vertically integrates the automotive value chain,” states the company. “It goes beyond producing beautiful cars, it improves safety, optimizes process, and saves resources to enable access to high quality EVs for the mass market. We are excited to collaborate with forward-thinking brands to revolutionize the industry and bring focus to a healthier and more sustainable future.”
Sadly, Alpha doesn’t appear to have any plans to bring the Collaborative Adventure Mobility Platform into production. More details about the CAMP can be found here on the Alpha Motors site.
