The Azimut Seadeck hybrid yacht line will debut at Düsseldorf in 2024
Welcoming the very first series of hybrid motor yachts for families, the new Azimut Seadeck hybrid yacht line is the Italian yard’s most energy-efficient creation yet. Thanks to technology advancements that cut emissions by up to 40 percent when compared to standard vessels, the new line epitomizes the idea of a return to nature.
The Azimut Seadeck hybrid yacht line consists of the Seadeck 6, Seadeck 7, and Seadeck 8, all of which are fitted with recyclable materials and designed with luxurious open-plan layouts that create a good synergy from the interior to the exterior.
One of the main features of the Seadeck is the “Fun Island”. In order to provide the impression of being on a floating island, it’s essentially a completely open aft lounge that lacks walls or bulwarks. This ground-breaking, all-encompassing idea was created in association with Alberto Mancini, Matteo Thun, and Antonio Rodriguez, all who are marking their debut in the yachting industry.
The Seadeck 6 is 57 feet long and has three guest cabins and one staff cabin. Three Volvo IPS 500 or 650 engines with a combined output of 380 or 480 horsepower can be installed in it. In contrast, the Seadeck 7 has two Volvo IPS 1200 engines that have a combined output of 900 horsepower and a max speed of 30 knots. The 72-foot vessel has one crew cabin in addition to four guest cabins. The Seadeck 8 is expected to be bigger and more powerful.
All three yachts feature sleek planing hulls and lightweight carbon exteriors which boost their effectiveness on the water. They will come with a battery pack and solar panels on the roof to power the hotel load without emitting any emissions for four to eight hours.
In addition to the innovative, efficient drivetrains, the Azimut Seadeck hybrid yacht line will include beach club sections at the stern with more than adequate outside space.
“Seadeck is a new starting point for future generations,” says Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut/Benetti Group. “We wish, once again, to chart a course that will be an inspiration for the entire industry, so that the theme of respect for the environment is interpreted, as it is for Seadeck, with a concrete approach made up of investment, technological research, and the courage to introduce a new lifestyle that embraces the sea.”
The Seadeck 6, the first of the three Azimut Seadeck hybrid yacht line models, will be showcased at the Boot di Düsseldorf 2024. The 7 and 8 are to follow between 2024 and 2025.
