The limited edition 2022 BMW i4 M50 EV looks sharp in Vitality Green
German luxury automaker BMW and American streetwear brand Kith have teamed up to develop a custom 2022 BMW i4 M50 EV. The sedan’s sophisticated appearance was inspired by the 1972 1602 “Elektro,” which is BMW’s first ever electric vehicle.
Only seven units of the BMW and Kith collaboration of the 2022 BMW i4 M50 EV will go into production and be offered through an auction. Designed by Ronnie Fieg, founder of Kith, the exclusive i4 M50 EV is similar to the standard i4 M50, but instead comes coated in the brand’s Vitality Green paint.
Two electric motors, one on each axle of the vehicle, work together to produce 544 horsepower and 586 ft lbs of torque. With that much power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a max speed of 131 mph. The car’s 81-kWh lithium-ion battery pack allows it to go up to 271 kilometers on one single charge.
Inside, caramel-finished Individual Merino leather from BMW is used. The passenger side dash and cup holder lid both have “Kith Exclusive Edition” laser etched into them, while the center console and headrests are lined with Kith embossing.
The 2022 BMW i4 M50 EV also features an adaptation of BMW’s iconic roundel. A second ring with a distinctive model inscription is added around the roundel by the fusion badge and is trimmed in complementary Kith Vitality Green. There’s also a unique variant of the BMW “M” badge located at the rear’s deck lid.
With only seven special edition models, the i4 M50 EV is being sold without a reserve and has a pre-sale estimate of $100,000 to $200,000. The clothing company will also launch the sale of a 51-piece collection of clothing, accessories, and other items with accents of Kith’s Vitality Green and branding of the BMW and Kith collaboration.
