Detailed Look Of The Ducati TK-01RR Limited Edition Electric Mountain Bike

Priced at $10,995, the Ducati TK-01RR Limited Edition is a fancy but competent choice

With the addition of the Ducati TK-01RR Limited Edition, the Italian motorcycle company now has three electric bikes to choose from which also include the MIG-S and the TK-01RR. Let’s check out what’s in store for us.

The aluminum-framed Ducati TK-01RR Limited Edition adds a lot of carbon fiber, but the 630 Wh battery and EP8 250W electric motor from Shimano are the same as those found in the standard variant. A full charge produces a claimed range of 110 miles when Eco mode is used, but the bike’s assist wattage rises dramatically in the Trail and Boost modes. The range is then reduced to 55 miles and 36 miles, respectively.

Along with the electric powertrain, Shimano provides a smooth-shifting Di2 XT electronic groupset with 11 pedaling speeds. Boost mode allows for easy uphill climbs using the 62.7 ft lbs of torque from the LE. The Shimano motor produces just enough power in Eco mode to make the bike feel as light as a standard mountain bike.

Thanks to 180 mm of travel up front and 170 mm at the rear, the updated Öhlins DH38 fork and TTX rear spring shock effortlessly smoothes out bumps and rocks on the road. The knobby Pirelli Scorpion tires and massive Magura MT7 disc brakes don’t hurt either.

For improved riding performance, the LE lacks features such as an integrated power meter and inertia valving. That said, the LE is further improved by the lightweight and dependable carbon fiber engine guard, battery cover, and handlebar. The 110 volt charger that comes included makes it super simple to recharge the battery overnight.

The new 2022 Ducati TK-01RR Limited Edition electric mountain bike is available for $10,995.
