Recreated from the Dark Knight trilogy, the Macro Studios electric Batmobile Tumbler has unveiled
Yes, it’s real—the Macro Studios electric Batmobile Tumbler is here and available for purchase. Who would’ve thought an actual replica of the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Batman films would come to fruition? We sure didn’t, but it came out of nowhere…kind of like Batman himself.
Hanoi-based artist Nguyen Dac Chung and his workshop Macro Studios have revealed an operating, eco-friendly electric Batmobile Tumbler. Chung and his company have specialized in creating costume and accessory replicas from comic books, films, and television shows. Now taking it to another level, they’ve showcased a completely functional Batmobile for the public.
The six-wheeled Macro Studios electric Batmobile Tumbler is exactly what you’d expect, created with the original blueprints of the Tumbler from the Dark Knight series, and with a shade of green. The 500 horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 from the movies has been replaced with an electric powertrain and two Lithium-ion batteries that allows the Tumbler to hit a max speed of 65 mph.
With a tubular steel chassis, the Macro Studios electric Batmobile Tumbler weighs roughly 1,322 pounds and is slightly smaller in size in comparison to the one from the movies but utilizes carbon fiber and ABS plastic in place of the metal bodywork. It rides on a set of gigantic 33” tires with 13” front and 18” rear wheels while its dimensions are 4.26’ in height, 12.1’ long, and 7.87’ wide.
Macro Studios has included a few modern features such as remote-controlled hydraulic doors, multiple on-board cameras, and a cockpit monitor offering a 360 degree view. The electric Batmobile Tumbler only has room for one superhero and one sidekick, accommodating two passengers.
Currently on display at the VAN DARYL automotive gallery in Ho Chi Minh, the Macro Studios electric Batmobile Tumbler is now available for purchase. Those interested can visit the website here for additional information.
