Boundaries have been pushed to create the N+ Silver Arrows eBike
N+ Bikes and the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team have teamed up to develop the N+ Silver Arrows eBike, the third collaboration between the popular German luxury automaker and its division of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One and Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E teams. The third time’s the charm, so it seems, as everything about the Silver Arrows is portrayed in elegance.
If there was an ideal look for an electric bike, this would be it. Similar to their previous release of the EQ Formula E Team eBike, the build and aesthetic of the N+ Silver Arrows eBike is as capable and stylish as it could possibly get for a battery-powered bicycle. At first glance, the Silver Arrows may just come across as a streamlined aluminum road bike. Take a second look and one may finally notice the hidden battery backs and power unit.
N+ and the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team have gone to great lengths to make the bike’s lightweight 6061 aluminum frame and fork as immaculate as possible, avoiding unnecessary design features found on other e-bikes. The hand-polished brushed aluminum on the latest edition of the N+ Silver Arrows eBike also makes it stand out in its class.
The bike features a 250W mid-drive motor that makes 55.3 pound-feet of torque. It’s powered by dual 36v batteries and has a 62-mile range with a 3.5-hour charge time thanks to the innovative automatic constant variable transmission by Enviolo. Other features of the N+ Silver Arrows eBike include the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and a set of puncture-resistant Kenda tires.
The frame is also available in three sizes for different height ranges from small (1.65m/5’4″ – 1.75/5’7”), medium (1.76m/5’8″ – 1.85/6’1”), and large (1.86m/6’2″ – 2.00/6’6”). The starting price of the Silver Arrows retails at $4,500 and reservations are now live on the N+ website for a $450 deposit.
