Take a peek at the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV
Announced this week, Mercedes-Mayback has revealed their beefed up version of the current EQS SUV, named the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV. With an upgraded power train, the ultra-lux variant has some outstanding features that outclass other EVs in the market.
The dual-motor configuration of the car generates a remarkable 649 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful in its lineup. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds quicker than the base model of the EQS 580.
It was confirmed that the battery pack can be replenished at 200 kW, although the charging time was not disclosed. That said, there’s a specifically adjusted air suspension with a specialized Maybach mode and four-wheel steering.
At the front of the exterior, a three-pointed star hood ornament can be found that sits immediately above a solid front fascia covered in chrome bars. This is designed to resemble the Panamericana grille, a signature trademark of the sub-brand. More chrome accents and Maybach badging can be seen on the rest of the car, which is available with an optional two-tone paint job. A stunning set of either 21 or 22-inch monoblock wheels complete the look.
Located at the car’s dash is the exclusive Hyperscreen, which features a start screen unique to the Maybach. There will only be two rows of seats available for the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV, with either a three-person bench installed in the back row or two separate seats with adjustable leg rests.
Checking all the luxurious amenities, champagne flute holders are featured in the cup holders on the center console, and the trunk section has a chilled storage room that’s conveniently accessible. Additionally, 11.6-inch touchscreens are installed within the front seatbacks, and exclusive Maybach lights supply the interior with ambient lighting.
On sale this upcoming fall, expect the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV to cost around $200,000.
