New Winnebago eRV2 EV Camper Revealed At 2023 Florida RV SuperShow

The new Winnebago eRV2 EV camper is the manufacturer’s second EV concept

Following their first EV camper concept from last year, the new Winnebago eRV2 EV camper has arrived in 2023 and sports a redesigned interior along with sustainable materials. Showcased at the 2023 Florida RV SuperShow, the eRV2 rides on the all-electric Ford E-Transit chassis and comes with its 68-kWh battery pack.

The new Winnebago eRV2 EV camper has greater power than the previous e-RV model, generating 266 horsepower as opposed to 215 horsepower, although its torque decreases from 733 ft lbs to 317 ft lbs. The increase in power does lower its range to 108 miles, a 17-mile drop from the e-RV’s range of 125 miles. The plus side is that the E-Transit platform supports DC fast charging, allowing owners to charge the battery to 80% in 45 minutes.

The new 48-volt A/C system, which according to Winnebago is 30% more efficient than the standard, and the refrigerator are powered by the eRV2’s second battery — a 15.0-kWh unit created by Lithionics Battery. A transportable induction stove, a sink, and a bathroom with a shower and a detachable cassette toilet are among the additional internal amenities.

According to the American motorhome manufacturer, their new Winnebago eRV2 EV camper allows users to camp off the grid for up to seven days without any access to electricity or water. Although the 900-watt solar roof panels help conserve energy, it’s predicated on the idea that its passengers won’t need to use air conditioning or the heater.

Winnebago claims their eRV2 concept at the 2023 Florida RV SuperShow is a fully operational prototype and is expected to go into production. The company is currently still undergoing field testing with consumers and a final chassis should be announced later in 2023.
