The new Nikola WAV electric jet ski is bound to make waves

You’re probably most familiar with Nikola as it goes head-to-head with Tesla Semi in recent news articles – but Nikola is so much more. Nikola is an energy, motor, and powersports company leading the charge in hydrogen power. At the recent Nikola World 2019 in Scottsdale Arizona, there was a global debut of five new electric vehicles, and among them was the WAV electric jet ski with its “wakeboard architecture”.

The name “WAV” itself is a nod to the boasts of the company that the Nikola personal watercraft will have zero environmental impact and zero emissions, and helping to change the future of transportation. This luxury electric personal watercraft comes fully loaded with a 4K mounted touchscreen, super slick design, over the air updates, cruise control, and LED head and tail lights.

Specifically designed to mirror sports bikes, the Nikola WAV electric jet ski is a perfect new toy for those ready to take it up a notch on the water and is protected by an IP68-rated waterproofing system, which means it can withstand being submerged in 4 feet of water for half an hour.

Nikola WAV Electric Jet Ski

Slated for a 2020 launch, the electric jet ski is open for conceptual preorders. We are still waiting to hear about where and how charging stations will work. Alongside the announcement of the Nikola WAV electric jet ski, was a more in depth look into Nikola’s vision for a hydrogen powered future, its partnership with Anheseur Busch, and other products added to their lineup. Nikola’s goal is to build 100 charging stations a year through 2028.

We’ll be keeping our eyes on Nikola and the waves they are making in the hydrogren powered and electric  energy markets.
