Handle Any Terrain With The Robo Systems Ultra Bike 2×2

For $2,000, the Robo Systems Ultra Bike 2×2 is smart, versatile pick for an off-road adventure

Look no further, if you want an electric motorcycle with an all-in-one package, the Robo Systems Ultra Bike 2×2 is it. With two torquey electric motors driving the fat front and back tires, the Ultra Bike can take on anything in its path.

The California-based electric motorcycle startup Robo Systems has created quite the monster in Hermosa Beach. With a range-extending generator and two massive fuel tanks built into the wheel rims, the Robo Systems Ultra Bike 2×2 can cross water and travel long distances.

Both wheels have their own brushless DC motors, with each rated at 1,000 watts. The motors are powered by a 48-volt LifePo4 battery pack tucked in a waterproof casing. The battery pack lasts for over 2,000 cycles and allows for 40 miles of range. With just an hour of time, the battery can be fully charged to 100%.

The Ultra Bike 2×2 also comes with an 800W petrol fuel generator that can be used to charge the bike remotely. Since a petrol generator requires gasoline, fuel tanks are built within the wheels of the bike. The generator weighs 9 kg and operates at 220 volts.

Featuring all-wheel drive, the Robo Systems Ultra Bike 2×2 is clearly meant to handle some of the most challenging terrain around. Each of the motors are 1kW rated, with a max output of 2kW. This provides a max speed of 30 mph for the E-Bike. The fat, low-pressure tires can even latch onto the optional set of 50-gallon balloons for water fording.

Robo Systems are currently taking orders for the Ultra Bike 2×2, which is priced at $1,990 on the company’s website. Through their Indiegogo page, that cost is slashed down a couple hundred at a starting of $1,790, with a number of other options to choose from.
