Pre-orders for the Ryvid Anthem electric motorcycle will begin on August 14, 2022
Cutting-edge design and aerospace expertise have come together in the 240-pound Ryvid Anthem electric motorcycle. With over 75 mph and a range of 75 miles, it’s sure to stand out from the crowd.
Ryvid, based in Irvine, California, is a newcomer to the EV motorcycle market. The words “rhythm” and “avid,” which are components of motion and emotion that characterize riding a Ryvid, were merged to create the unique, catchy name. Specializing in EV mobility, Ryvid have announced the debut of the Launch Edition of their Ryvid Anthem electric motorcycle, available for pre-order this month on August 14.
Dong Tran, the founder and CEO of Ryvid, wanted to design a motorcycle that’s lightweight, adjustable to different body shapes, and most importantly, fun to ride. Tran developed an in-depth understanding as a result of his interest in disassembling and repairing motorcycles. His design methodology is influenced by his experience at Icon Aircraft and at an eVTOL aviation startup. A similar vision is held by Ryvid’s Chief Product Officer Mike Schumann, who collaborated with Tran on the amphibious Light Sport aircraft known as the Icon A5.
“Especially in this climate, it makes sense to have something designed to optimize the rider experience without the hassles of repair associated with a typical motorcycle,” said Tran. “Riding the Anthem is a personal experience, with a level of customization that translates to a feeling that the bike was built just for you. We’re not a powersports brand but a mobile sports company. We are thrilled to deliver a product that will hugely impact how people view electric micro-mobility and introduce the Anthem to a market we know is ready for it.”
The Anthem Launch Edition is a groundbreaking, customizable electric motorcycle that blends aerospace technology with the ease of EV architecture to let anyone experience riding in its purest form. It’s perfect for commuting with its 4.3 kWh lithium-ion removable battery that produces 250 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheel and has a top speed and range that slightly exceeds 75 mph and 75 miles, respectively, on a single charge. In “Sport Mode”, the motorcycle can reach 50 miles in range.
The Ryvid Anthem electric motorcycle weighs 240 pounds in total, including the 12-pound stainless steel frame. It also features an integrated tail section with a “Ergo-Easy” saddle that’s adjustable in height from 30” to 34” and suitable for numerous body types. Additionally, a 4.9-inch TFT display provides the rider with speed and charge level with the utmost clarity.
The Launch Edition of the Ryvid Anthem electric motorcycle will be priced at $7,800 and includes a one-year standard motorcycle warranty, a two-year warranty for the power pack, and a limited lifetime warranty on the frame. The first deliveries are expected to start in the summer of 2023. The Launch Edition is limited to only 1,000 units and is only available for pre-order at the Ryvid website.
