The first ever GMC Electric Hummer EV is coming!

General Motors confirmed the rumors with a commercial during the Super Bowl LIV that they are working on an electric Hummer EV. If you recall, the original Hummer was very popular but also a gas guzzler, and when the recession hit back in 2007, drivers could not afford to fill them up with gas, so the brand just kind of got shelved.

Well, recession or not, the new GMC Electric Hummer EV sounds appealing and will be joining the ever-growing list of electric vehicles. If you missed the electric Hummer EV commercial, not to worry, we embedded it below. As you can see, LeBron James stars in it, and General Motors is teasing us by only showing us the pre-production models’ front grill with its fancy lights turning on.

According to GM’s website, the initial Hummer EV availability comes Fall 2021, and has up to 1,000 horsepower, 11,500 lb-ft of torque and can hit 0-60 in 3 seconds. Wowzers, now that is fast. Some potential customers may just skip out on that 911 Porsche and just get the GMC Electric Hummer EV because it’s just as fast and can carry more than two people.
