A perfect pairing of power and range is found on the Vintage 72 Volt Roadster eBike
The Vintage 72 Volt Roadster eBike is the latest premium offering from Santa Clara, California-based Vintage Electric Bikes. These hydroformed aluminum-built high end eBikes induce a throwback feel due to their slim profile and styling that’s inspired by board track racers.
With a massive 72-volt battery that can allow it to reach 40 mph, the Vintage 72 Volt Roadster eBike uses motorcycle-inspired components, including a front suspension fork, hydraulic disc brakes, and complete LED illumination. There’s also propulsion aiding serrated pedals, leather-wrapped grips, and a high quality thumb throttle that delivers on-demand acceleration and up to 4,000 watts of power in “Race Mode”.
Information on battery life and a readout of the five levels of e-assist are provided on a small LCD panel. It only takes three hours to charge the battery to full, giving the bike 40 to 75 miles of range.
The Vintage 72 Volt Roadster eBike also comes with a charger that can charge at different rates. Remember to charge on the lowest level, as quick charging drastically reduces the potential lifespan of EV batteries.
At a cost of $6,995, the 72 Volt Roadster is priced in the same range as some high-end Italian scooters, though we want to note that it truly has a sufficient amount of power and range for the price point. For those who have already committed to the previous models, Vintage Electric Bikes will offer free upgrades to the new 72 Volt Roadster.
While most riders may find the 72-watt top models to be too powerful, riders who are in search for a stealthy, quick, and electric two-wheeler won’t have to look anywhere else.
