The matte black VisionF 80 BLCK catamaran’s color has a unique purpose
VisionF Yachts showcased the VisionF 80 BLCK catamaran at both the Monaco Yacht Show and the Cannes Yachting Festival as the newest addition to their lineup of power catamaran boats. As the third model in the brand’s Firstline lineup, the all aluminum “BLCK” edition catamaran gets its name from the matte black paint it’s covered in.
All facets of its design, including the exterior, interior, and naval architecture of the 80-foot VisionF 80 BLCK catamaran, were all done by the Turkish shipyard. Energy can be generated through the solar panels on the roof of the sun deck thanks to the dark exterior’s ability to draw the sun.
“On a composite boat, the black hull and superstructure would make the exterior surfaces uncomfortably hot, but excess heat is easily dissipated by the aluminum hull into the water,” said a representative from Vision F.
Additionally, owners can choose to add more solar panels in place of the sun cushions on the coach roof. Twin Volvo Penta IPS 1050 engines give the boat its primary propulsion with a max speed of 18 knots. It uses even less fuel when traveling at the speed of 12 knots, which translates to less than 8 gallons per hour.
With a roomy main deck, the spacious cockpit area accommodates seating for eight and a cozy, shaded lounging area. The main deck is also ideal for relaxing, dining, and sunbathing as it’s customizable with options to extend its layout. The aft deck of the VisionF 80 BLCK catamaran leads to the flybridge, equipped with a Void sound system and seating and sunpads covered in Sunbrella weather-resistant materials.
A wing station with IPS joystick control can be found in the cockpit in addition to the internal and external helm stations. The interior is spacious as well, with the main saloon measuring 581 square feet. The internal dining space offers seating for up to 12 guests and provides 360-degree views.
