The 32.7-meter OCEA Commuter 108 superyacht is nearly finished, according to the French shipyard OCEA located in Les Sables-d’Olonne, France. After arriving at the location in May 2022, the aluminum yacht had its superstructure constructed back in September. Since then, engines, generators, and other technical equipment have been installed.

Twin engines and generators were installed on the OCEA Commuter 108 superyacht, and numerous tasks pertaining to the pipes and electrical systems were also finished. The yacht is now prepared for the coating phase, as it’s wrapped in plastic for the next process.

In order to achieve a flat surface, the hull of the yacht is coated with numerous layers of resin to smooth out any rough spots. The layers are then flattened using thick rulers. The plastic film is filled with warm air to help the resin set, and the temperature is carefully controlled. Following this, a final coat of lacquer in the owner’s preferred color will be sprayed on.
