Lamborghini Lanzador EV Concept Revealed At Monterey Car Week

The Lamborghini Lanzador EV concept has over one megawatt of power

Introducing their fourth battery-electric model, the Lamborghini Lanzador EV concept was unveiled by the Italian marque at this year’s Monterey Car Week. Scheduled to launch in 2028, we’re still far away from the Lanzador’s debut, but we honestly can’t wait for this beauty to go into production.

CEO Stephen Winkelmann describes the Lamborghini Lanzador EV concept as an “ultra GT,” and it resembles a cross between the Urus and the off-road capable Huracán Sterrato, with hints of the 2008 Estoque concept. The distinct achievement of looking both bold and slightly restrained at the same time is achieved by the design’s strong edges. The car’s aggressive lighting kit, small nose, and roofline make it extremely evident that it is indeed a Lambo.

Despite having two doors, the concept can accommodate four passengers thanks to its 2+2 seating arrangement. The cabin resembles that of other Lamborghinis, except it’s constructed almost exclusively of sustainable materials from Italy. This makes the driver’s seat resemble a fighter jet cockpit.

The driver and passenger both have their own widescreen digital displays. Both front seat backs have integrated displays for passengers in the back, so that everyone gets to enjoy the party. Regarding the back, there appears to be a good amount of cargo space already, but it can be expanded by folding down the second row of seats.

In addition to providing the everyday adaptability of the Urus, the Italian marque claims that the Lamborghini Lanzador EV concept will provide the same performance that drivers have come to expect from their supercars. There are two electric motors in its powertrain, one on each axle. With this configuration, all-wheel drive is guaranteed under all circumstances, and the system can provide more than one megawatt of electricity, or about 1,340 horsepower.

Lamborghini states that its first electric vehicle will be formally unveiled in 2028. Although a price has not been disclosed, we expect it north of $890,000.
