The E450 4Matic electric sedan is a perfect blend of comfort, class, and connectivity
German luxury marque Mercedes-Benz has once again redesigned their E-Class sedan line, and we’ve got our eyes all over the E450 4Matic electric sedan which will go on sale Q2 of 2024. With 375 horsepower, a fantastic engine, and a quiet cabin, the E450 4Matic seems to check all the boxes.
The E450 4Matic electric sedan’s hybrid six-cylinder engine train packs in a good punch with its smooth but effortless acceleration. The vehicle is also incredibly quiet, although Mercedes offers a sophisticated solution if you feel it to be too silent as you accelerate. Mercedes has improved the Progressive Sport Sound function so that in any drive mode, the inline-six engine in your car can sound like a V-8.
The default Comfort level provides a comfortable ride, but switching to Sport mode subtly reduces secondary body motions without making the vehicle seem tense. However, there is no Sport+ setting because it is unnecessary for the car and would not improve the ride in any way.
Inside the E450 4Matic is a 12.3-inch instrument cluster display that offers a 3D depth effect. There’s also a portrait-style screen in the center stack that’s 14.4 inches and features digital controls for air speed and temperature. A selfie camera, games, and the option to accept Zoom calls using one of the car’s built-in cameras are also included.
Augmented video for the navigation system, a self-parking system, active parking aid, and a 360-degree camera all come as standard equipment. That’s a huge plus and a breath of fresh air as we set our expectations for future tech within this class.
Mercedes-Benz USA has not yet revealed the price for its domestic market, but insiders claim that the increased standard equipment will bring the price of the Mercedes-Benz E450 4Matic electric sedan slightly above $65,550.
