The Rossinavi Infinity 42 BluE hybrid superyacht can run full-electric 90% of its cruise
In collaboration with Italian superyacht designer Fulvio de Simoni, new renderings of the Rossinavi Infinity 42 BluE hybrid superyacht have been unveiled. Featuring the same technology from Rossinavi’s 42m Sea Cat hybrid, the Italian builder has integrated its eco-friendly tech into the monohull platform of the BluE.
Completely built with lightweight aluminum, the Rossinavi Infinity 42 BluE hybrid superyacht will be able to cruise in full electric mode 90% of the time while on a daily navigation scenario and 70% of the time in Atlantic crossings thanks to the additional power supplied by solar panels and a large battery pack. The superyacht will be powered by diesel generators for the rest of its trip.
“The goal of pursuing innovative technologies and onboard structures to progress towards more sustainable, comfortable and experiential navigation is what has guided us in this project,” said Chief Operating Officer of Rossinavi, Federico Rossi. “The result is a completely immersive navigation experience, which takes the quality of the stay onboard to a higher level.”
Utilizing an eco-displacement hull, cruising at speeds of 10–11 knots will consume less energy than a standard full-displacement hull in an effort to increase efficiency. The BluE’s performance is further enhanced by the Rossinavi Artificial Intelligence and Zero Noise Technology systems, which also improves on the comfort of its passengers.
“Sustainability and high performance are the keywords,” Rossi continued. “Improving the overall efficiency of the ship and the resulting lower impact on the environment have been central themes in the development of the project.”
On the lower deck lies five roomy guest cabins, and the master cabin takes up the entire 8.2 meter beam of the interior space. Large windows on both sides provide passengers a great view of the seas. There’s even a panoramic lounge located at the bow, offering passengers a great view of the seas. Additional amenities include a sun deck, bar, jacuzzi, and dining space.
