Super73 reveals their first Super73 C1X light electric motorcycle
First hinted at ahead of this year’s CES 2022, the Super73 C1X light electric motorcycle concept has now been officially confirmed by the Southern California electric bike manufacturer Super73. This unveiling has been delayed, canceled, rescheduled, you name it. With the big news, Super73 finally delivers the perfect urban motorcycle in this new light electric moto.
Designed to go up to 75 mph with 100 miles (160 km) of range, the Super73 C1X light electric motorcycle gives off a cyberpunk vibe with its design. The small form and lightweight build of the C1X is perfect for any city cruiser, which runs on 15-inch wheels and has a seat height of 31-inches. That’s almost the same height as a Ducati Monster.
The company claims that the Super73 C1X light electric motorcycle has a target weight of under 300 lbs and will be able to utilize fast charging. Super73 states the C1X can charge up to 80% in less than 60 minutes.
The C1X is built with a mid-mounted engine and a chain drive, so don’t expect it to be much of a quiet ride. Unlike most electric motorcycles that employ belt drives, chain-driven electric motorcycles produce a sound that is more akin to a chainsaw. I guess we’ll be watching the C1X chainsaw massacre hit the streets nearest you.
Super73 hasn’t disclosed much after the reveal of the Super73 C1X light electric motorcycle, but they are not hesitant to take reservations. Live now, the company’s first street-legal electric moto can be reserved for $73 (clever) on the Super73 website. Production is set to start in late 2023.
