New Peugeot Electric Bike Range Meets Demand For Urban Mobility

Three new new Peugeot electric bikes have been unveiled

Launching in late 2023 and early 2024, the new Peugeot electric bike line will hit the market at a convenient time as demand for cleaner and greener e-bikes increases. Of the new range, three e-bikes have been revealed, including the Peugeot Digital e-Bike, Digital e-Longtail, and Digital e-Front Load.

These new Peugeot electric bikes will provide customers with a variety of features, including adaptive electric assistance, an anti-theft system, bike geolocation, real-time navigation, weather forecasts, and route data, all through a new dedicated smartphone application.

Starting off with the Peugeot Digital e-Bike, this city bike features a detached and reduced top tube that is bisected by an oversized downtube. Going off course from Peugeot‘s traditional chain drive system, this one looks to have a belt drive system connecting the mid-drive motor to the back wheel. The Digital e-Bike also features hydraulic disc brakes, tight fenders, and swept back handlebars.

The Peugeot Digital e-Longtail is described by the French automaker as “a bike whose elongated rear can comfortably accommodate up to two children or a load, particularly suitable for family use.” The Peugeot Digital e-Longtail has a more traditional front end with a stretched back. A wheel skirt prevents feet from hitting the back wheel, and a child carrier is made to accommodate children or cargo on the rear rack.

Last but not least is the Peugeot Digital e-Front Load, in which the company describes it as “a bike with an extended front wheelbase to accommodate a crate for transporting up to three children or heavy loads, suitable for family or professional use.” Popular in Europe, this Peugeot Digital e-Front Load helps easily transport children or cargo around town.

As of now, Peugeot has not announced any pricing for the new Peugeot electric bike range, but will be showcasing the lineup at the PRO-DAYS show from July 2 to July 4.
