The new Velotric electric bikes are now available
Packed (no pun intended) with various performance features and specs, the new Velotric electric bikes have surfaced the e-bike market. Designed for those who like to do just a little more than the casual ride or commute, the China-based company has created two new additions to their product lineup.
Introducing the Velotric Packer and the Velotric Go models, the company has developed both new Velotric electric bikes to utilize their 48V 14.4 Ah UL2271 certified batteries and 690 Wh of capacity. There’s also UL certification for the entire e-bike. Both models are equipped with four-piston hydraulic disc brakes and 180 mm rotors.
The smaller variant of the two models comes in the Velotric Go which is designed to provide the rider with more utility features than the conventional e-bike. The “Go” utilizes a Velopower H50 drive system that can hit 20 mph and a range of 48 miles.
Weighing at 65 pounds, the Go features a 60 mm travel hydraulic suspension fork, a 15 mm thru-axle, a rear platform rack, and a Shimano seven-speed shifter. With a total payload of 440 pounds, the cargo load is capped at 120 pounds.
The Velotric Packer has a higher power 750W continuous motor with 1,200W of power. It also has 75 Nm of torque in comparison to the Go’s 65 Nm, and is also capable of hitting 20 mph. The Packer weighs at 75 pounds and features an eight-speed Shimano shifter. The hydraulic suspension fork at the front has 80 mm of travel and also includes a 15 mm thru-axle.
Priced at $1,799 and $1,999 respectively, the Go and Packer models are currently on sale on the Velotric website. For more information check out the new Velotric electric bikes here.
