The zero-emissions Riva El-Iseo electric day boat is here!
At Boot Düsseldorf, Riva revealed the final production unit of the Riva El-Iseo electric day boat. In the Italian shipyard’s 180-year history, this represents a dramatic turn toward more environmentally friendly and sustainable marine solutions.
The Riva El-Iseo electric day boat is built with the Parker GVM310 engine, which powers the 27-footer and has a 250–300 kW output. The vessel can reach a maximum speed of 40 knots and cruise at 25 knots. According to Riva, the acceleration curve is “significantly steeper than that of a similarly sized boat powered by an internal combustion engine.”
The vessel also has been equipped with150 kWh lithium battery packs, which allow it to cruise in economy mode for up to 10 hours before requiring a charge. This will allow seafarers to cruise the seas in a quieter, cleaner, and more efficient manner.
As far as design, the Riva signature classic stylings are also on display in the El-Iseo, which has a big inner cockpit, a sculpted windshield, a striped hardwood foredeck, and a huge rear sun pad over the engine boxes. The lights, cleats, and air vents are all gleaming chrome, and an attractive and useful anchor adorns the bow. The production model’s distinctive metallic-blue hull and sophisticated two-tone upholstery make it even more appealing.
The incredibly stylish digital helm, which replicates the analog dials on Riva’s vintage vehicles via a touchscreen dashboard, is the cherry on top. The onboard electrical systems have also been integrated by Xenta, and the day boat may be driven in three different modes including Andante, Adagio, and Allegro.
According to the Ferretti Group, the Riva El-Iseo electric day boat is ready for sale. Although pricing has not been confirmed, we expect it to cost between $330,000 and $700,000.
